Are refugees’ expectations compatible with European rules?
Are refugees’ expectations compatible with European rules?
We
have chosen this documentary to stimulate reflections outside of the
classical law’s topics about migration and refugees. The movie gives a
clear explanation
of the different and often clashing viewpoints on migration. Guido
Hendrix succeeds to present the intricacy of the European migration
regime in a very non-scholar way, easily accessible to anyone.
This movie has been widely awarded and acclaimed. It has been nominated 11 times to different film festivals and won 11 awards.
SYNOPSIS
In a classroom newly arrived refugees learn a lesson about
(multifarious) Europe. Operating at the intersection of fiction and
documentary, Stranger in Paradise reflects on the power relations
between Europeans and refugees in a candid fashion.

the possibilities for students, former students and anyone interested
to realize, advertise, construct or have support in their projects
related to migration and human rights.
